About Ringers Gloves
Ringers' founder originally was a diesel mechanic by trade.  After badly injuring one of his hands and arms in a work related injury, protecting his one good hand became a major focus for him.  In 1992 he designed his first  glove to meet the specific needs of mechanics .  His motto "Designed by Mechanics for Mechanics" has guided the company since.  These high quality gloves are available in several levels of sophistication and price. 

Quick Fit -  Open style elastic cuff for easy on and easy off.  Snug fit with hidden seam design. Tough Spandex top and Clarino finger and palm.

Authentic - Hook & Loop closed wrist for max security.   Snug fit with hidden seam design.  Tough Spandex top and Clarino finger and palm.  Unique split palm, extended life, non padded design.

Split Fit Air - Identical to the Authentic,  with the addition of a palm padded with "Free-Flex Airprene".  This 3mm shock absorbing gel palm padding in conjunction with the unique split palm design gives unmatched protection and dexterity.  Ringers' biggest seller by far.

SFX Extreme Duty - Ringers' newest, the SFX is a significant step up in protection and longevity.  Using the  same basic desgin as the Split Fit and Authentic to give great fit and dexterity, these gloves add several dramatic improvements.   The Spandex top has segmented pads of 5mm compression molded Neoprene. In addition to the 3mm gel palm padding, the palms feature dual layer, injected silicone finger tips to greatly extend the life of the glove.  NHRA tire busters looove these gloves - great dexterity with maximum protection and life span.

Keep a set in your tool box, keep a set in your car (for when you have to aid those unfortunates in lesser marques).   Use them, wash them, use them again, and again, and again.  Machine wash, air dry.

Ringers Carbon-X Competition Driving Gear

Ringers Competiton Driving Gear makes extensive use of the Chapman Company's Carbon-X fabric, a fire retardent material made of Carbon fiber.  Carbon-X  flame and heat transfer characteristics are far superior to any other fire retardent fabric on the market today.  Fabrics such as Nomex, Proban and PBI will burn.  Carbon-X will not.  In addition, it resists heat transfer much, much better than any other fire retardent fabric on the market today.  As you can see from the picture, Carbon-X will protect you from intense heat. The inside sales guys at Ringers will actually do this at trade shows or when bored with too much time on their hands.  I suppose you could make the case that  they are a little crazy.  They may be crazy, but they're not dumb because they won't do this with Nomex or any other fire retardent fabric.  The outstanding fire and heat protection will give you the best protection that money can buy.
In everyday use, when not protecting you from burning up, Carbon-X fabric feels good on the skin.  It feels like soft sweatshirt material and does an outstanding job of wicking moisture away from the skin to leave you feeling cool and dry.
